A Different Type of Powerpoint
I was updating some files for a flipbook program when I came across an interesting presentation program. Focusky is a presentation builder that offers a more fluid and animated way to express your information than the linear form used by PowerPoint. I thought I would try the free version and see how easy it was to use.
The format of the program was very basic and friendly. Working on an open canvas as opposed to a PowerPoint strip was very liberating. I simply dropped in my images and added some text. After that, I chose the order in which to show my “slides”. Your slides are really just zoomed in sections of your big picture. You can add rotating effects and group multiple items with frames.
The whole project can be saved as an HTML, EXE, or zipped up and emailed to a client. That is just the basics of the program, but you can find out more at their website www.focusky.com.
Here is the little presentation that I threw together in thirty minutes. It really took me longer to decide which pictures to use than to actually create the presentation. Enjoy.
