4 P’s Podcast Fun With a Friend
A writer’s life isn’t all plotting and editing. Sometimes, we must step out from behind our computers and talk with others. We need to connect with the world around us, especially with our readers. It may not be the easiest of tasks for people who enjoy a solitary life, but it can inspire us with new material and help us share our stories.
I had the pleasure of joining an old friend, Trunnis Goggins II, on his 4P’s of You Podcast recently. His show explores the four fundamental pillars that shape our paths to success: Purpose, Passion, Planning, and Persistence. I’ve written about all these in my Fortune Cookie Friday posts over the years and how they can get us through difficult times and find success.
Trunnis interviewed me on Creating Success From Discomfort. We all deal with discomfort in our lives, but we don’t have to let it stop us from becoming better people or doing good work. Whether it’s dealing with depression, a handicap, or simply bad luck, we can learn from our experiences and turn our lives around.
If you want to know a little more about how I got started writing and illustrating, check out the interview where I share how adversity inspired me to be more creative and venture into the unexpected world of writing. Listen to the end to hear the story of veteran Anthony Garcia, co-founder of Purepost®. His hardships were more challenging than mine, but he still reached his goal with a bit of purpose, passion, planning, and persistence.[Content Warnings: adult language and mentions of suicide in the second interview]
