After creating so many of my pen and ink illustrations digitally, I thought I would pull out some paper and regain my skills the traditional way. I found a picture I took many years ago of a resident chipmunk that visited anytime I threw out some food. It was nice to feel the pen on paper. The rough texture was very different from my digital illustration tablet. Of course, I noticed that it was harder to see the fine details since I couldn’t zoom in like I can with my monitor. I later added a digital watercolor layer to make it pop.
