Poet and column Editor Amy Ludwig VanDerwater contracted me to create illustrations for the National Science Teacher’s Association’s journal, Science and Children. The journal includes a column, “The Poetry of Science,” with original poems for various themes explored in science.
The illustrations needed to be simple, pen-and-ink style, and relate to the poem. This issue included a poem by Allen Wolf on eclipses.
I played with a newer digital pen and ink style inspired by Frank Ramspott’s past images in their journal.
