Woodcock On A Walk

I received a Woodcock pin from a fan and was inspired to create a digital pen and ink of the bird. Evolution helped this bird change the position of its brain, allowing its eye to sit further back in the skull. This position gives the Woodcock a better view of its surroundings while it forages for food in the leaf litter. I enjoyed creating the patterning of the wings and body and adding that little reflection to the eye.
